Chiropractic care is a non-invasive form of healthcare that encompasses a multitude of options for patient treatment. The most significant and unique option Chiropractors have to offer is the Chiropractic adjustment, sometimes referred to as manipulation. Adjustments are non-invasive procedures, performed either manually (with the hands) or mechanically (with the aid of a mechanical device such as an Activator or an Arthrostim). The purpose of the adjustment is to restore the best possible bio-mechanical motion to the joint and allow for optimal function of the body, most notably the nervous system as well as surrounding soft tissues of the joint being treated.
Our procedures at Wolf Family Chiropractic revolve around the Chiropractic adjustment as the main form of treatment, and are often followed by therapies such as ultrasound or kinesiology taping to address the soft tissue. (Please see our Services section of the web-site for a full list of treatment options we offer!) Dr. David Wolf utilizes both manual adjustments as well as mechanical adjustments for those patients who are not comfortable with the “popping” sound or perhaps are not be good candidates for manual adjusting due to pre-existing health conditions or personal preference.
